Position Description
Our Client is seeking a professional with commercial potential that after 6 to 12 months in a logistical role has the ability to migrate to a commercial role in the same hierarchical level. The company is expanding and is committed to the training of their employees for growth into other areas. The logistics supervisor will report to the General Manager (Miami) and dotted line to the business analyst (Dominican Republic), while maintaining external relationships with all levels from dock workers to senior executives.
The Logistics Supervisor will ensure that the company complies with internal controls and procedures, avoiding loss of products, loss of quality, accidents, shipping errors, and provide customers with excellent service in the distribution of their products.
In the Commercial role, the Logistics Supervisor will manage accounts and implementation related to all the needs of the customers.
Experience/Skills Required
•Teamwork: Ability for developing strong links with different areas of the company, encouraging collaboration to meet objectives. Corporate culture.

•5 years in Administration, Agriculture, Economics or Industrial Engineering.
•Leadership experience preferably of 5 years or 1 year in a similar position.
•Experience preferably in: Trade in any industry, Port Operations / Information Systems.
•College Degree in related field.
Logistics Roll
•Unloading of vessels.
•Direct shipments from ships to the silos.
•Products Dispatch from silos to customers.
•Dispatch and pick up of customers' products from /to ships, silos, third party sites during negotiations for inventory loans and future sales advances.
•Inventory management of product imported directly by the company.
•Request and review ships permits and documentation to check complete shipment and avoid potential delays when delivering to customers.
•Provide information to the shipment unloading company.
•Comply with company established procedures for shipment unloading.
•Supervise and monitor shipments from the silos.
Commercial Roll
•Offer support to the commercial department regarding customer service, bid preparation, strategy of ships combination and accurate record keeping.
•Participate in customer visits, review and process commodity market information, accurate maintenance of import information and statistics and estimate trading profit and losses.
•Market knowledge and alternate ways to connect businesses in order to maximize profit while minimizing risk.
•Review pricing information received from the origination department.
•Accounts Receivables process support.
•Preparation of Supply and Demand reports.
•Dispatch coordination with clients and logistics department.
•Input contracts in the system and control.
